After a bike ride, how hungry! It’s time to “refuel”. But, please, don’t rush you into that super greedy and super-calorie food. A balanced lunch has to bring proper nutrients, as the same as breakfast

A nice thing to know, cycling with intensity, 28/30 km/h, we can burn about 600 calories per hour on average

Eating carbohydrates with vegetables is right and satisfying. A tasty mixed salad and delicious spaghetti with tomato and basil, or pasta topped with vegetables cooked in pan, and what about pasta with pesto sauce? Carbohydrates are complex sugars, they are fuel cells, they should not be missed. Cereal generally brings on the mood, not only because we use to eat spaghetti with friends, but also because of nutrients in it (we’re talking about whole grains), these are tryptophan and niacin (help! What sort of bad words!). so it is said by scientific journals. Corn is the cereal low in these nutrients. So green light to all cereals (rise, spelled, oats, millet, kamut, barley to name few) topping with light sauces, spices, in order to feel in good mood.

….and where is the protein? Here is it, perhaps not everybody knows that they don’t go on very well with cereal. There’s a scientific explanation, our stomach digests protein and cereal in different ways. If we eat them together (pasta and meat for example) our digestion gets slower and nutrients aren’t properly assimilated by our body.

So why don’t we try to separate them, perhaps cereal for lunch and protein in the evening, always accompanied by vegetables, raw or cooked, we do not miss anything.

“Leaner and more beautiful?” someone was used to say. Of course, and good humor goes up!
