Let’s have a cycling into different locations of Brianza. From Cabiate we lead to Arosio, going through Valsorda area we reach Anzano del Parco and Alserio. In Carcano, after the church, we turn right at traffic light and go to Erba. From there we lead to Pusiano direction and proceed towards Lecco. At the roundabout we turn right, towards Cesana Brianza. We go around the perimeter of Pusiano lake, on the other side and go into Bosisio Parini village.

Near the church we can have a rest on the lake shore.

Pusiano e i suoi abitanti

We go then to Rogeno. After Casletto village we go through the many little villages of Brianza to Inverigo direction in the heart of the moor: Costa Masnaga, Camisasca, Tabiago-Cibrone, Lambrugo, Inverigo. This tour is km 60 long.

In Costa Masnaga we can see a tower named Tregolo tower located inside the park by Villa Beretta. The tower is the ruin of a castle built in the year one thousand and then destroyed at the beginning of XVI century.

In the Paleolithic period the village of Costa Masnaga was already inhabited.

The name of the other village, Camisasca, comes perhaps from Casamaliasca, a Roman farm. The tower we can see above is Brenno tower, once it was a watchtower. From tower to tower fires were lighted to communicate.

If you prefer riding a mountain-bike here is a suggested path: Park of Brenno, Oasis of Baggero, Path of Bevera. We’ll be able to see an ancient landscape which make us forget the nowadays traffic: woods, paths, also for bikes and different farms.
