We’re cycling from Erba to Canzo. On the right we’ll see the beautiful alpine Segrino Lake.
Lake shores are so beautiful that some famous writers and poets were inspired by this lake as location for their novels, an example, Malombra by Fogazzaro.
Lake and the mountain above are protected as national park. This action has caused the water sanitation and development of the territory from 1984
Lake is surrounded by a path of 5 km. A romantic walk in the nature.
On a shore side we find cane thicket in which some native birds have done their nests.
On the other side we see a soft bed of waterlilies. The flower is park symbol.
For children joy swans and duckers live and swim in the lake.
In the spring frogs transmigrate in the lake for breeding. In the water swim different fish species (perch, pike, carp, tench)
