In the middle of Brianza zone, in Colle Brianza location, there’s Cagliano village. But first we reach Giovenzana village, the name comes from Jupiter, during roman age there was a temple dedicated to the god.

Cagliano is a small village with 80 inhabitants. We go on from the little church, we’ll see these ancient stone house.

Cagliano had been once one of the commercial ways and refreshment area that joint Monte Barro fortress to Hoè fortress in order to avoid downstairs wetlands.

During Middle Age Monte di Brianza was called “il Castellaccio”. We can see ruins of a fortification (Tor di Bestetto, Campanone area) Bestetto is an ancient district

Nava is one of the strategic way that joints Monte Barro. The church along the way is dedicated to S. Michele and the Holy Family. Bell tower, newer than the rest of the church, had been made on the platform of an ancient tower dating back to the XXII century.

In 1860 Tegnone village had changed name and was called Ravellino, the source that flows in the village fountain.

A lid of a sarcophagus, dating back to the Middle Age, was used to wash. Also to see the church dedicated to the Madonna della Ceriola.

 

A steep street goes to Madonna del Sasso. Madonna appearred in the 1657. To see San Nicola church and inside the statue that represents the saint.

Another dirt road climb up the hill to reach S. Genesio convent in the middle of the wood. (it was a temple dedicated to Giano god). Till to 1938 was occupied by friars hermit Camaldolesi . From the 14th till the 16th of August there's S. Rocco Celebration
